Background: Founded in 2007, Dutch company EUclaim has a strong reputation in the aviation world as an expert in flight data and Passenger Rights. Using its online portal and extensive flight data the company has helped some 742, 300 air passengers file claims with airlines to assert their right for compensation for delayed travel under EC Regulation 261/2004. To date they have collected some 139 million Euros in compensation and have a 97% success rate in court.
Brief: To raise EUclaim’s profile in the UK using both traditional and social media. Highlight EUclaim’s strong reputation and knowledge of the aviation industry backed its extensive flight data. Change the perception that the company was ‘ambulance chasing’.
Type of Campaign: Monthly retainer.

- Increase in traffic to the website resulting in a spike in customer claims
- By focusing on the customer story the perception of ‘ambulance chaser’ was changed
- The company was recognised in the industry for its comprehensive flight data

SHPR contacted the consumer affairs programme and encouraged them to look at the issue of missed flight connections and provided EUclaim customer stories which illustrated the plight of passengers. The story was also picked up by Knack and covered by Just About Travel.
